ZScreen

ZScreen is a straightforward software solution that allows you to capture the screen in several modes (e.g. full screen, region, window) and to save it to multiple locations (e.g. Clipboard, file, ImageShack).

The interface of the application consists of a standard window; you can get started by establishing the image destination between ImageShack, file, FTP, TinyPic, TwitPic, TwitSnaps, YFrog, custom uploader, MindTouch Deki Wiki, and printer.

From the main application window you can configure a wide range of settings. For example, you can specify the screenshot delay, make ZScreen prompt for a filename, as well as show the cursor in the grabs.

In the 'Destinations' tab it is possible to set up multiple output locations when it comes to the FTP, MindTouch, TinyPic, ImageShack and Twitter accounts.

You can configure keyboard shortcuts for capturing the entire screen, active window or selected window, as well as for the last crop shot, auto capture mode, drop window and screen color picker, just to name a few.

You can apply a text or image watermark and customize some preferences (e.g. font transparency, background color, reflection, borders). Other features of ZScreen let you set naming conventions, select the output image format (e.g. PNG, JPG, GIF), adjust the JPEG quality and set the image size (default, fixed, ratio).

Moreover, you can use a translator, pick text services, configure image hosting options, view a history list, make the tool automatically run at system startup and to open the main window on load, display help balloon tips, and lock the main window size to the minimum possible size, among others.

ZScreen needs a moderate amount of CPU and system memory, is pretty responsive to commands and includes user documentation. ZScreen packs a wide range of features and configuration options for capturing the screen. First-time users may require some time to get familiarized with this advanced environment.
