ArtRage Touch

ArtRage Touch deploys a virtual version of an art studio, where artists can simply take the brush and sketch their masterpiece using a variety of real-looking painting oils, pens and watercolors.

It runs as a Metro app on Windows 8.1, turning your entire screen into a canvas. And since it is specifically designed for stylus and touch screen devices, artists can use their hand to paint with high precision, without spending money on paint and brushes.

With a modern-looking interface and accessible toolbars that provide one-click access to all the tools, ArtRage Touch enhances your experience with realistic oil smears, blending watercolors live colors, and detailed canvas texture.

The generous palette of painting instruments includes various pens, brushes, pencils, palette knifes, a paint roller, an eraser, filling in tools and paint tubes of all colors, which will only make you feel like a real artist.

Each of these tools comes with its own customizable parameters. For instance, you can adjust the size of a brush, the pressure level it will put on the canvas, thickness or instruct ArtRage Touch to make the paint look as if it were still wet.

You can work with different layers, adjusting their opacity to obtain the desired effect. Layers can be easily blended, merged, duplicated to deleted, if you wish to. The rich color palette enables you to use the precise color picker to select your hue and optionally add it to the sample collection for quick access. Samples can be sorted by various criteria with just a click.

ArtRage Touch features image tracing, which means that an existing image is used as a transparent background, allowing you to paint on top of it to obtain an oil-painting copy. Alternatively, you can opt for a reference image, which is pinned to the canvas, enabling you to easily create a reproduction. Paintings can be exported as JPEG or PNG images, as well as a proprietary format of the application.

Usually digital painting applications cannot equal the precision of hand painting, but ArtRage Touch is sure close to doing so. Aiming to simulate the real painting experience in a digital environment, it ensures precision to your paintings thanks to a versatile and variate range of tools.
