CutOut

CutOut is a nifty application that provides you with the necessary set of tools for designed realistic-looking montages or image compositions using elements from various photos.

The program comes with a sleek, stylish and intuitive interface that is unlikely to give you any troubles. You can get started by browsing to the directory that contains the images that you want to use for your composition. Since the GUI is designed as a dashboard, you can easily navigate between the folders and switch to another one without too much hassle.

It is worth mentioning that the app relies on the chroma key for cutting elements from various pictures.  In fact, you can use your mouse to select the desired object and cut it out onto a monochrome background with just one click. To make everything more realistic, you can rely on the inside and outside edge matting before the cut.

You will be happy to learn that the tool can quickly cut even the most demanding objects, such as hair, feathers, fur or other elements that are usually hard to modify even for users with advanced editing skills. Speaking of advanced, besides the matting, the app also lets you process layers one by one, a feature that is useful if you want to create a realistic composition.

The program permits you to perform some additional editing for the elements, an option you can access from the Context menu. Consequentially, you can adjust the colors. Modify the exposure, sharpen, reduce blur or perform other enhancements without too much effort.
