Desktop Whiteboard

Desktop Whiteboard is a lightweight software application built specifically for helping you create sketches and take notes in an intuitive and interactive working environment.

It offers support for nine customizable tabbed-whiteboards, each one embedding built-in note editors, as well as editing and searching capabilities.

The program gives you the possibility to create drawings with the use of a pen that comes equipped with preset colors.

You can easily switch between the preset colors using hotkeys, erase areas from the drawing, and adjust the size of the pen.

What’s more, you are allowed to go to the previous or next board, rename each board with a user-defined word, switch to a full screen mode for a better focus on your work, and make the tool generate an animated presentation which includes the sketches from all nine whiteboards.

Desktop Whiteboard gives you the possibility to undo or redo your actions, import images (JPG, PNG, GIF, TIF, BMP), as well as print or export the generated sketch to PNG file format.

The built-in text editor lets you type in messages directly into the primary panel or paste them from other third-party applications, carry out basic editing operations (cut, copy, paste, delete), find and replace words, undo your actions, and enable the bold, italics, or underline mode.

When it comes to configuration settings, you can customize the color palette, choose between different layouts (e.g. blackboard, grayboard), show the time spent on the project, automatically start the timer, display numeric information (mouse position), as well as set up the parameters related to the animation rendering process (loop, reverse, frame interval).

During our testing we have noticed that Desktop Whiteboard carries out a task quickly, provides very good output results, and no errors showed up throughout the entire process. It is not quite friendly with system resources, so the overall performance of the computer may be hampered.
