Framing Studio 3.71

Framing Studio is a program designed to help you add frames and borders, as well as apply effects to your image files.

The interface of the application is plain and simple. You can import images by using the file browser (the "drag and drop" method and batch processing are not supported).

So, you can scale the image and enable interpolation, as well as save results in the BMP, JPG, GIF or PNG format.

When it comes to frames, you can select between the simple and relief borders, as well as simple, mask, vector and artistic frames.

Plus, you can use color or gradient, texture or pattern, set the border thickness, select the type of frame (simple, horizontal, heavy, oval, misc), and so on.

In matter of effects, you can apply blur, color noise, contrast, grayscale, invert, mono noise, mosaic, spray, wave, sepia, colorize, soften and sharpen.

In addition, you can modify color balance, brightness and contrast, crop, resize, rotate and flip the picture, switch to full screen mode, disable the steps and image panels, select a color for the editor background, and more.

The program takes up a moderate-to-high amount of system resources and includes a very brief help file. However, we have noticed some downsides  Framing Studio.

For example, the "undo" function can take you only one step back. Also, you cannot preview changes concerning effects and the interface is pretty outdated. But, overall, there is a limited number of frames and effects that you are provided with.

All in all, Framing Studio is a good program for adding frames and effects to your photographs, but it definitely needs to step up its game.
