Graphiter

When people think of drawing they automatically think of DaVinci's Mona Lisa or Michelangelo Buonarroti's Sistine Chapel, or anything that involved bright colors. What most folks forget is that this art started off from nothing but a smooth (more or less) surface, and a tool that left marks on it. Graphiter is a neat store app that allows you to enjoy the subtle art of pencil drawing, with brushes that mimic graphite pencils, coal and ink pens.

As mentioned before, drawing didn't start out with elaborate colors or using drawing techniques, and that is the same thing that this app tries to emulate. All you have to work with is the background, which you can choose from your digital library if you want, and four drawing tools and an eraser. This simple design is meant to allow drawing to be a relaxing experience, regardless if you are expertly doing someone's portrait, or scribbling down nonsense. With these aspects in mind, this app is something you could enjoy in your spare time.

Unlike real pencil drawing, this app does pose certain advantage since making a mistake isn't all that punishing. If you drew a line in a wrong way, you could always just press the appropriate button to revert the last step you made. Also, if you think not all of it is a mistake, you can take care of it using the eraser or blending tool. Graphiter was created with touchscreen devices in mind too since you can enable or disable its support from the "Settings" menu. You may calibrate your pen if you consider that it is pressing too hard, or not hard enough. Once you are done, you can export your drawings in either PNG and JPG format.
