JPEG Viewer is an application with a pretty self-explanatory title - it allows you to easily view images with the JPEG extension.
This is a portable product, so installing JPEG Viewer is not necessary. You can simply place the tool on a removable drive, plug it into any computer and directly run its executable file. What's more important is that your Windows registry keys will remain intact.
The interface of JPEG Viewer is very plain and simple to navigate through. Pictures can be imported by using either the file browser or the "drag and drop" method.
So, you can make a selection, display a grid and make image adjustments (e.g. brightness, contrast, color balance).
In addition, you can flip, resize and rotate the image, add special effects (e.g. blur, desaturation, emboss, invert), enable text mode and print the current date.
Furthermore, you can zoom in and out, switch to full screen mode, use the undo and redo functions, customize or disable toolbars, enable interpolation, view image and EXIF information, display a histogram, make file associations, change the keyboard shortcuts, choose another language for the interface, and others.
The simple image viewer and editor requires a moderate amount of system resources, includes a brief help file for rookies (too bad it doesn't contain snapshots), has a very good response time and ran smoothly during our tests. We haven't come across any difficulties and strongly recommend JPEG Viewer to all user levels.
