PhotoScenery is a program that provides you with some basic tools for image editing.
The interface of the application is simplistic and easy to navigate through. PhotoScenery is easy to work with, even by beginners.
So, you can select a background image, insert a picture at a smaller scale and apply a mask from 9 modules.
But you can also insert clipart, cartoons and outlines, input text and choose a speaking balloon, as well as apply a frame or delete it. Images can be saved in the JPG or BMP format.
The image editor runs on a moderate-to-high amount of system resources, includes a well-written help file with snapshots and didn't freeze, crash or pop up errors during our tests.
Its response time is very good. However, the images you save don't have an excellent quality. Additionally, PhotoScenery lacks very important features. For example, you cannot change the color of the outlines. Also, you cannot start a new project with a blank background as default.
Plus, you cannot adjust the image's color when it comes to brightness, contrast, saturation or gamma, let alone apply filters like grayscale, sepia or black and white. The bottom line is that PhotoScenery should only be used by novices for entertainment purposes. Advanced users would definitely turn to a more comprehensive image editing tool.
