4K Slide Projector

Designed to help you easily generate .avi slideshows with pictures and music, 4K Slide Projector is an intuitive software application that contains powerful configuration settings. It lets you preview the video before producing it, so that you can make adjustments if necessary.

The tool is packed in a classical-looking interface made from a large window with a well-structured layout, where you can begin a project by selecting photos for the future slideshow, provided that they have the .jpg or .jpeg file types.

Their thumbnails can be viewed in the main frame and you can fix the orientation by rotating them clockwise or counter-clockwise if necessary. Any item can be removed from the list if you change your mind, while additional ones can be inserted.

As previously mentioned, 4K Slide Projector lets you assign music to the slideshow. This means that you can pick audio tracks with the .mp3, .m4a, .wma, .ogg, .wav, .flac or .ape file extension.

Several settings can be configured. For instance, you can adjust the photo and transition duration, equalize the slideshow and audio track in length, apply the Ken Burns effect, choose the output video format, aspect ratio and quality, as well as indicate the default saving directory and name for the slideshow.

The software utility generated slideshows rather slowly in our evaluation, during which CPU and RAM consumption was significant. On top of that, the free edition of the product allows a maximum of five slides per slideshow. Plus, we expected a wider array of supported image formats (e.g. .bmp, .gif, .png, .tif), especially when considering that the list of supported audio formats is more generous, since images are the main component of slideshows while soundtracks are optional.

On the other hand, it produced quality movies and didn't hang, crash or prompt error dialogs. A few keyboard shortcuts are supported, and the app preserves the window with the photos and audio tracks on exit. Nevertheless, you can test 4K Slide Projector for yourself and find out whether it meets your requirements or not.
