BorderMaker is a software application which provides a simple means of adding watermarks, borders and text bodies to one or several pictures in the same session.
Surprise-free setup and structured interfaceThe installation process is a piece of cake, as it does not last longer than a few seconds and it does not offer to download products that are not actually necessary for the program to function fully. If you are interested in bypassing the installation process, you should know that a portable version is available for download, BorderMaker Portable. When you are done with it, you come face to face with a well-organized and clean GUI. It is split into several panes, which ensure a quick access to all available options and a logical succession, just like a wizard. It is suitable to all types of users, including beginners and highly experienced people.
Resizing and adding text bodiesThis software utility enables you to resize images while also maintaining the aspect ratio, crop them to a desired width and height, as well as sharpen them with the help of some slider bars. When it comes to inserting text, you should know it is possible to choose its position, color, font type, size and style, and you can also insert a custom shadow.
Tweak borders, insert watermarks and upload images to an FTP accountIn addition to that, you can adjust the size, transparency and color of the border, as well as round its edges and blur the background. Picture watermarks can be inserted, using formats such as JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG and WBMP, while it is also possible to retain EXIF information and choose the output file type (JPG and PNG) and directory, or just upload them to an FTP location.
ConclusionTo sum up, BorderMaker proves to be a pretty useful piece of software. It encloses a friendly interface and a pretty large number of options to keep you busy. The response time is good, CPU and memory usage is minimal and thus, the computer’s performance is not going to be affected.
