SortImg

SortImg is a simple program designed to help you sort images from one folder to another, keeping them in order and always knowing where to find them.

It has a minimalist menu that provides straightforward features for sorting images from different directories and moving them to another location. The application provides three panels. The first one shows image thumbnails, the second displays the preview of the selected file, and the third presents the various added folders.

You can pick the image folder to sort and a directory for transferring duplicate items to, as well as specify the sorting method by file name, size or date at each start-up. By clicking on the preview image, the application shows its actual size. A meter bar is provided to display all the pictures together, or one after another.

From the “Config” menu, you can choose the main display type of the pictures, such as auto size, center, stretch or zoom in. When it comes to file renaming, you can either add tags that can be viewed under the pictures, change the whole names, or replace them with something else.

Duplicates can be moved to a preselected folder or deleted one at a time. If you send a picture to another directory by mistake, the undo function brings it back in the first panel.

A conversion feature can be found in “Tools”, letting you change a .BMP photo to .JPG or .PNG format. However, you can only pick a folder, since it's not possible to select individual files. It automatically detects the .BMP images and converts them in the same directory.
