Exif Viewer is a Java-based application that you can use to examine EXIF information when it comes to photo files, as the name clearly says. It comes with an intuitive set of options that can be easily configured by users.
The setup procedure is rapid and uneventful. Its interface is represented by a regular window with a clear-cut structure, where you can use an Explorer-based layout to navigate directories and locate images.
The main frame automatically shows details like the original date, flash status, exposure, orientation for each image. It is possible to rename, copy, move and delete files, preview them in a small frame, as well as put together a slideshow from the entire directory and choose its direction for selecting images.
As far as app settings are concerned, you can modify the default image extensions to identify, cache size, interpolation mode, background color, slideshow time between two images, tooltips to display, and so on.
The tool is undemanding when it comes to CPU and RAM, so it does not hog system resources. There were no kind of issues throughout our evaluation, since it did not hang, crash or pop up error messages. Exif Viewer serves its purpose and comes packed with plenty of customization settings.
