Image Comparer

Image Comparer is a lightweight application that can help you compare two images that look alike, in the easiest way possible.

The user interface is really simplistic, and can be mastered even by less experienced users. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to drag and drop the files directly into the main window, so you have to use the built-in browse button.

The application offers a preview feature for both uploaded files, and it can work with a wide range of file formats, namely EMF, EXIF, JPEG, JPG, BMP, GIF, PCX, PNG, TIFF, ICO and WMF.

The differences between the two photos are displayed in a dedicated window, and thanks to its multi-tabbed support you can easily toggle between the pane which displays the two pictures and the one with the differences.

Moreover, if the images are of different sizes, you can make Image Comparer analyze the differences only for the area that both pictures have in common.

Compared to other similar applications, it’s pretty easy to work with this tool, since there aren’t any configuration settings available.

During our testing we have noticed that the program is able to display the differences very quickly and without errors. It also manages to remain light on the system resources, so it doesn’t affect the overall performance of the computer.

All things considered, Image Comparer proves to be a simple software solution when it comes to comparing two images quickly. Since you don’t need special computer knowledge to work with this tool, even rookies can make the most out of its features.
