Metafile Companion is a small application that allows you to create and edit WMF and EMF files with ease. It's great for customizing WMF clip art and for editing graphs, charts and drawings from almost any Windows application!
Use it to edit practically anything copied to the Windows clipboard (in Picture format) or saved in a WMF or EMF file.
Here are some key features of "Metafile Companion":
· Customize your clip art - Change colors, patterns, line thicknesses and fonts. Use the drawing tools to add new objects and text. Objects can be flipped and made opaque or transparent. Resize the picture. Remove excess white space with the Trim Picture tool
· Edit graphs, charts or drawings from other Windows applications - Paste a graphic (in Picture format) from the clipboard or import a WMF or EMF file. Change colors, patterns, line thicknesses and fonts. Add new objects and annotation
· Create new drawings - Metafile Companion is the quick and easy way to whip up any simple drawing. In minutes you can create just what you need, copy it to the clipboard and paste it into another application. Or save it on disk for future use

· Added official support for Windows Vista and Windows 7 including both 32- and 64-bit versions.
· Fixed registration problem reported on 64-bit versions of Windows.
· Digitally signed the installer to avoid "Unknown publisher" warnings on installation.
· Switched from WinHelp to HTML Help for smoother operation on Windows Vista and 7.
· Removed obsolete information about older versions of Windows from Help.
· Added Unicode support so now you can add or paste text in languages such as Japanese, Russian, etc. and special characters and mathematical symbols not available in the ANSI or ASCII character sets.
· Added the ability to paste Unicode text from the clipboard into a metafile (even if it is not in metafile format on the clipboard).
· Added new Paste As commands for Enhanced Metafile, Windows Metafile and Text to give you more control over what is pasted.
