Picture Collage Maker proposes an approachable and fast solution to joining photographs to create collages ready for printing or sharing over the web. It's an application mostly designed for casual users who don't want to go through the trouble of tinkering with intricate settings.

Setting up this tool is fast and easy. Its interface is rather user-friendly, putting at your disposal four methods for creating a project: from scratch or a template, or by using template or grid collage wizards.

You can begin by importing pictures with JPG, BMP, GIF, TIF and other commonly used extensions, arrange them in any order in the collage, crop out parts, or change the orientation of the picture or entire frame. Undoing and redoing actions is possible, so you can fix any mistakes.

It's also possible to add drop shadow effects, set photos as the background image, save objects as pictures, as well as to insert a calendar, clipart or text. Finished projects can be saved as local images, set as the desktop wallpaper, printed, or sent via email.

The tool worked well in our tests, without triggering the operating system to hang, crash or pop up error messages. It left a small footprint on system resources, using low CPU and memory, so it didn't hamper system performance.

On the other hand, Picture Collage Maker doesn't come loaded with more comprehensive features for experienced users. Nevertheless, it offers simple-to-understand and quick solutions for creating basic collages from images.
