Bolide Slideshow Creator is a program developed for less experienced users to help them create image slideshows with transitions and background music. It sports a few useful options that can be easily tweaked.

The installation procedure is done quickly and effortlessly. The main application widow is user-friendly. A new project can be filled with photos and audio files, which can be imported using either the file browser or drag-and-drop feature.

Bolide Slideshow Creator supports a wide range of image formats, such as JPG, BMP, ICO and EMF. As far as audio tracks are concerned, you can import MP3, AAC, M4A, MP4, WMA and WAV.

From these lists you can drag items over the timeline to build the slideshows. Several transitions are available, like sliding and cross wiping. Plus, you can apply text, pan zoom or rotate/mirror effects to any selected picture.

It is possible to preview the slideshow in the main frame, trim audio tracks by marking the start and end position, change the aspect ratio, establish the duration of each frame, as well as save the project to file for further modifications.

Before exporting it to an AVI, WMV, FLV, MP4 or MKV file, you can select the output directory, file name and quality. The task can be paused at any time. Plus, you can ask Bolide Slideshow Creator to beep, open the output folder, exit, or turn off the computer on completion.

Bolide Slideshow Creator offers multilingual support, has minimal impact on computer performance, and delivers quality clips. No error dialogs were shown in our tests, and the app did not hang or crash. However, the audio track was not properly exported during our evaluation, since it was disabled in clips.

This is not a professional program designed for creating slideshows, but it does not require previous experience and gets the job done quickly.
