Word clouds make for an interesting way to visualize one's writing habits by providing a quick and easily digestible overview of the most used words in a passage. Wordle has become popular because of this, as it provided a worry-free way for users to see their most used words, but what if you wanted some more customization?

Third-party solutions are on offer, and Wordaizer is one of them: personalize your word cloud and make it stand out by modifying its size, font, shape, color, and animate everything.

At its core, the program may not seem that much different from the web-based alternative, and that isn't exactly wrong. What software like this provides is more personalization and more dedicated user control, which web-based solutions have trouble offering.

The app itself is easy to use and get started with. All it needs to create a word cloud is a text file: add yours via the File dropdown, and click Start. The program will then create the word cloud, visible in the Viewer tab — you can see the words that make it up in the Word analysis menu.

Through the Masks functionality, the software allows users to have their word clouds take many shapes. You can have yours look like an airplane, rooster, motorcycle, guitar, and so on. The selection is quite generous, but if nothing fits your preferences, you can always create a custom shape. You can customize the color of each word on the cloud, and the options are again very comprehensive, allowing for virtually limitless color variations.

Changing the curve shape of your word cloud is also an option, and so is animating everything. The Animation feature has various effects, such as exploding your words, pushing them all in, moving them in a certain direction, and so forth. You can tweak the options to your heart's content, because there's no shortage of them.

Wordaizer is fun to use and affords many customization options, allowing users to personalize their word clouds down to the most granular of details.
