ArtSage

ArtSage is a small and portable software utlitity which enables you to create slideshows from your favorite pictures. It offers support for many image file types, including JPG, GIF, PNG and BMP.

Since the tool does not include a setup pack, you can just save the executable to any location on the hard drive and run it directly.

There's also the possibility of moving ArtSage to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any workstation with minimum effort.

What's important to keep in mind is that Windows Registry does not get new entries, and files are not left on the hard disk after removal.

At deployment you are required you specify the folder whose images you want to include in the slideshow, as well as make a selection of your favorite photographs.

During the slideshow you can open the context menu to make all the necessary adjustments. For instance, you can set a timer, sort items and navigate them, change the viewed location, use a search function, as well as create and manage a favorites list.

You can squeeze, stretch, shrink and rotate images, choose the transitions, switch to full screen mode, set the thumbnail size, and many others.

The program uses a minimum quantity of CPU and RAM, has a good response time and works smoothly, without causing the OS to hang, crash or pop up error dialogs. We haven't come across any issues in our tests. Thanks to its intuitive layout, yet rich options, ArtSage should please the entire audience.
