Millensys DICOM MiniViewer 2.0
The upper side of a portable app
The installation process is a piece of cake, as it does not offer to download any kind of third-party products, and it does not last longer than a few seconds. Once you are done with it, you come face to face with a simple and pretty well-organized GUI, as it encloses a pane in which to view the added image and a few tabs, thus enabling you to easily access all options available.
Upload DICOM files, view patient information and use playback controls
This tool enables you to open both multi-modality images and cine-loops from CDs, HDD or any USB thumb drive, only with the help of a file browser, as the “drag and drop” function is not supported.
In addition to this, the main window enables you to view information pertaining to the patient, such as name, birth date, ID, gender and modality. You can play, stop or fast forward cine-loops with the help of the built-in playback controls, as well as change the frame rate, manually go to the next or previous item and zoom in and out.
Measure distances and export items
It is possible to invert colors, use a color or grayscale palette, fit the picture to the frame and pan it. You can measure the distance between two points, as well as export items to a custom location on the drive, using a JPG or AVI format.
To sum up, Millensys DICOM MiniViewer is a pretty useful piece of software when it comes to viewing DICOM files. It does not burden the system’s performance, the response time is good, the interface is suitable to all types of users and there are sufficient options to keep you busy for quite a while.
