A customizable DCM viewer
Urografin is a software utility designed to open and display DCM images, so that you can analyze them from the comfort of your own home. In addition, you can zoom in an out of them, as well as enhance the details by sharpening the overall image. Alternatively, you can revert any changes and bring back their original properties.
The mouse can be used to bring most of the changes, by dragging or selecting certain areas, as well as by making use of the scroll wheel to increase or decrease the sharpness level. Moreover, you can also use it to navigate through the available images, as long as they are all into the same folder and they share the same format.
Change between different visualization modes
Depending on the type of scan, the visible organs may not always be best viewed using the same colors or filters. Hence, bones require different viewing modes from lungs, since they are composed of different substances. The application allows you to use a variety of color modes, by making use of the function keys, F2 through F12.
The F1 key, on the other hand, can be used to display details about all the other view modes, as well as to make yourself familiar with the keyboard shortcuts. In addition, you can also perform the sharpen and soften operations on every separate window, while also viewing a small description for every color mode.
A practical DCM viewer for personal use
Thanks to the wide array of viewing modes and the ability to enhance the picture according to your requirements, Urografin is a very useful application, especially for personal use. Since the utility is mainly aimed toward doctors and trained medical staff, it is not very friendly with inexperienced users, especially when it comes to the customization options.
