Instantly launch a slideshow presentation directly from a folder context menu with the pictures you want to show, add audio background and simple effects. #Picture Viewer #Image Viewer #Photo Viewer #Picture #Image #Photo
There are times when you need to set up a presentation fast, so you can’t come up with something too spectacular. However, simple doesn’t necessarily mean dull, and if you so happen to have a folder with all pictures and charts related to your project, dPhotos helps you instantly build a presentation.
The application needs to integrate itself in your system for its particular method of being launched, and the installation process only takes a little while. A splashscreen with helpful info comes up after setup, so you know how to access the settings panel, as well as the application itself.
You target here are folders, more importantly, they need to be filled with the images you want to bundle in a slideshow presentation. dPhotos is launched only through the context menu of this particular folder. Once this is done, the whole screen gets filled with images scrolling at a specific time interval.
A sample music file is playing in the background, which might make you remember there’s a settings panel with management options. You can change the song there, or completely turn it off, with the possibility to add more audio files in case your presentation is lengthy.
Unfortunately, you can’t add more pictures on the spot, nor configure the time it takes for the next picture to show up. However, you can skip through slides using the arrow keys, and even apply simple zoom and rotate effects to all pictures.
It’s a shame there’s no option to actually build the presentation into an EXE or any other format to run it more comfortably later on. On the other hand, there’s a built-in option that integrates dPhotos into Picasa.
Taking everything into consideration, we can say that dPhotos is a practical utility that can save you some time into configuring a slideshow presentation, letting you trigger one instantly, from any folder containing pictures. Although customization options feel a bit shallow, they’re enough to keep thing easy.
