BMP2RAW Converter

BMP2RAW Converter is a simple command-line application whose purpose is to turn BMP images into the RAW format. It does not come equipped with any configuration parameters, making it suitable for all types of users, regardless of their level of experience.

While most people use graphical interfaces for performing various kinds of tasks, some of them would rather work with command-line utilities, since inputting a few lines is usually enough to get the job done in no time.

Installation is not necessary, so you can drop the executable file anywhere on the hard drive and call its process from a Command Prompt dialog.

It is also possible to save BMP2RAW Converter to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any machine without prior installers.

An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and files are not left behind on the disk after program removal.

All you have to do is point out the BMP name of the file you want to convert and press the Enter key to proceed with the conversion procedure. The RAW file will be automatically created in the same location as BMP2RAW Converter. Unfortunately, batch processing is not supported, so you can convert only one picture at a time.

As expected, the app does not put a strain on computer performance, since it runs on a very low amount of CPU and RAM. No error messages have been shown in our tests, and the app did not hang or crash. We have not come across any problems.

Unfortunately, the application does not support operating systems with the 64-bit architecture. Other than that, BMP2RAW Converter serves its purpose and can be used even by novices, thanks to its overall simplicity.
