Image Converter

Image Converter is a useful tool designed to help you turn files from image formats to FTF and vice versa. The software enables you to change a picture’s attributes, such as format, color work space, apply compression or convert them to Flexible Tagged Format, with a few simple mouse clicks.

Image Converter allows you to load any image, in the supported formats: PNG, JPG, GIF, BMP or TIFF. You may view the pictures in window mode or enlarge them by dragging the margin of the software’s GUI. The software does not feature a zooming function, but enlarging or shrinking the window can cause the picture to be resized.

The main function of the program is to convert images from common file formats to Flexible Tagged Format, a special file type, derived from TIFF. While TIFF is a highly popular file format amongst professional graphic artists, the FTF format is used for storing several image tags.

The software offers support for conversion in both directions: from common formats to FTF, as well as from FTF to JPG, BMP, PNG or GIF. It supports floating point and multiple pages in TIFF images. Aside from transforming an image to flexible tagged format, Image Converter can also turn a colored picture to gray scale, change its color channel or switch to another level of bites per channel.

Moreover, you can apply float gamma correction on an image viewed in float mode. You may also apply compression when saving the file, in order to obtain the most suitable size. The software can also permanently resize the loaded image, by pixels/percentage, using the bi-linear or the accumulative methods.

Image Converter is simple to work with and enables you to obtain FTF files by converting pre-existing images or by creating a new picture with a colored gradient. The software offers support for converting images to FTF and vice versa. Moreover, you may modify the picture’s color channel, level of bits per channel and enable or disable file compression.
