QuEnc description
A free, very good quality MPEG-1/MPEG-2 encoder, based on the ffmpeg encoding library

QuEnc is a free, very good quality MPEG-1/MPEG-2 encoder, based on the ffmpeg encoding library.

QuEnc is also highly recommended encoder to use with DVD-Rebuilder and produces video that compares in some cases with the quality of videos encoded with CCE SP.

Uses:

  • Encodes From an AviSynth Script File to MPEG File

  • A possible replacement for CCE

  • Can be used to encode DVDs (Using jdobb's ReBuilder)

  • Has Secret "Snow Codec" Mode

  • Can be run from the command line (try /? for more info)


What's New in This Release:

· added 448kbps for audio encoding
· changed CLI parameter error message to timed(4 seconds), compatability with older programs
· added settings, changlog and PSP-IPod texts
· restricted MP2 and MP3 to encode to a maximum of 256kbps even if set higher
