What's the point of having a spaceship for a computer, and a whole cinematic experience for a screen, when you can't view movies as DVDs?

If you have a movie with an AVI format (or other similar ones), then you must have thought about converting it to one that supports DVDs.

AVI2DVD is a multimedia converter which allows you to transform various formats (e.g. AVI, MKV, MP4) into DVD, SVCD, or VCD.

The program is fairly simple to install, after which you will see a standard interface with a lot of buttons. Don't be scared if it looks cluttered, because the options here are pretty obvious.

There are four steps to creating a DVD.

First you must select the source file, audio stream, and audio language. Then you have to select the format of the output folder, disk size, number of discs, and chapters.

In step three you have to select encoders (image quality and conversion speed – choose one above the other), and then select optional subtitles (language, character set, font face, and font size).

In the last step you can capture images, convert MP3s to MP2s, and create the DVD menu.

You're all set! After a while (which can be over an hour) you should be able to view your newly created DVD.
