Free 3GP to AVI Converter is a software with a pretty suggestive title - it can encode 3GP files to the AVI format, but also to MPG.

The user interface of the program is simple to navigate through. You can import media by using the file browser or the "drag and drop" method (batch processing is also supported).

You can set the output format and directory, along with the action to take after conversion (e.g. exit program, turn off computer) and if the output file exists (e.g. rename file, overwrite it).

Moreover, you can configure the output file format (video codec, bitrate, FPS, 2-pass encoding, don't copy the video stream) and audio settings (audio codec, bitrate, sample frequency rate, channels, volume, don't copy audio stream).

But you can also change advanced settings regarding the audio track to convert, resolution and cropping. Plus, you can save as a BAT file, minimize to system tray, save and load file lists and encoder settings, change the interface language, and more.

The program uses a very low amount of system resources, finishes a task in a short amount of time and manages to keep a very good image and sound quality. No errors have been displayed during our tests. However, there is no help file available.
