Allows you to easily convert your DVDs and any other source format
Since installation is not a prerequisite, you can simply drop the program files to any location on the hard drive and run the executable.
There's also the possibility of saving StaxRip to a USB flash drive or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any workstation with minimum effort.
What's important to mention is that the Windows Registry does not get entry updates, and files do not remain on the hard disk after removing the program.
At initialization you can select a template and encoding mode, and limit the file size. The source can be a single file, Blu-ray folder, file batch or directory batch. Plus, you can merge multiple items into a single file.
After establishing the destination, you can apply filters (e.g. crop, noise, resize), quality, preset, tune and device. StaxRip is capable of processing subtitles, deleting the temporary files directory and automatically running the compressibility check, among others.
The application uses a low-to-moderate quantity of CPU and system memory, has a good response time and carries out a conversion task rapidly and without errors. We have not encountered any problems in our tests, since the utility did not hang or crash. Unfortunately, StaxRip is not very intuitive, which is a downside for less experienced users.
