DVD X Player Professional is an application that you can use to play DVDs and other types of media.
The user interface of the program is simple and intuitive. You can play a DVD from the external device, hard disk, as well as media files (e.g. WMA, WAV, AVI, ASF, SWF, MOV) and photos as a slideshow.
So, you can use basic media player tools, such as play, pause, as well as adjust the volume, navigate back and forth within the video and switch to full screen mode.
In addition, you can open the floating panel in order to select chapters, add bookmarks, take screenshots and record video clips.
Furthermore, you can go to various menus (e.g. root, title, audio, angle), select a preferred subtitle, change aspect ratio, and more.
In the "Options" menu, you can select the default DVD drive and language, change auto resume/play options (by default, the program plays from the last position), set the tool to automatically check for updates online, disable autorun and autoplay, as well as specify file associations and power settings (e.g. set the minimum battery to play).
Plus, you can change options when it comes to video (e.g. mode and quality, enable hardware accelerating), audio, recording, region free, parental control (you can assign a password) and appearance (change the interface skin and language). Settings can be restored to default at any time.
The program takes up a moderate amount of system resources and includes a well-drawn help file with snapshots. No errors have popped up during our tests and we strongly recommend DVD X Player Professional to all users.
