Greenfish Subtitle Player 1.1
This portable and small application plays .SRT files in a partially transparent window which can be laid over a video player, such as online stream
It is very simple to work with, as it comes packed with limited features. The tool only offers support for the SRT format.
Since installation is not a requirement, you can simply drop the executable file somewhere on the hard disk and click it to run.
It is also possible to save Greenfish Subtitle Player to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any workstation with minimum effort.
An important aspect to take into account is that the Windows registry section does not get new entries, and files are not left behind on the hard drive after removing the utility.
The interface is based on a horizontal, black and transparent frame, where you can can load subtitles using only the file browser, as the drag-and-drop function is not supported.
You can pause the stream, rewind or fast-forward it, seek a particular position by moving a slider, resize the frame and font, as well as minimize the frame to the taskbar. Greenfish Subtitle Player stays on top of other applications, and this option cannot be changed. There are no other notable features provided by this tool.
Greenfish Subtitle Player is very low-demanding when it comes to CPU and RAM, so it doesn't slow down system performance. No error dialogs have been shown throughout our evaluation, and the app did not hang or crash. Thanks to its intuitive layout and overall simplicity, beginners can easily work with Greenfish Subtitle Player.
