Movie Subtitler is a lightweight and intuitive application designed with a single goal in mind: to help you embed subtitles in video files.
Since this is a portable program, it is important to mention it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry. You can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need to attach subtitles to video files on the breeze.
The user interface is really simplistic and there isn’t anything worth mentioning about it, except for the fact that it provides two built-in browse buttons, one designed to help you add the videos to the list and the other the subtitle files. You can also use the “drag and drop” support.
This cross-platform utility works with a total of four video formats, namely MOV, MPG, AVI and M2TS. The supported subtitle formats are SUB and SRT.
By default, Movie Subtitler saves the generated items to the same location as the original files, and at the end of the task it automatically opens the target location.
During our testing we have noticed that it might take some time to embed subtitles in videos, especially when dealing with large video files. It doesn’t manage to remain light on the system resources, so it may hamper the system performance.
All things considered, Movie Subtitler gives you a hand whenever you need to attach subtitles to video files in the easiest way possible. Although it cannot compete with other top products from its category, it does what it says and is suitable for less experienced users.
