Subtitle Processor 7.7.1

Subtitle Processor is a tool that enables you to create and edit subtitle files.

Since installation is not required, this software is portable. That means you can place it on a removable device and run the executable file on any computer. More importantly, your Windows registry keys will remain intact.

The user interface of Subtitle Processor is simple and intuitive, although it may appear a little cluttered at first glance.

You can import a subtitle by using the file browser or "drag and drop" method. In the list you can view the number, start and end frame and time, along with flags and number of lines for each subtitle text.

So, you can edit text, select the subtitle style, type (e.g. dialogue, comment, picture, sound), margins, properties (e.g. character or speaker, effect) and line properties.

In addition, you can merge, split, move or scale subtitles, set transitions and end timestamp corrections, apply resynchronization and text corrections, reformat lines, view a script log, and others (e.g. trim spaces in subtitles, remove empty subtitles).

Furthermore, you can load a movie (including DVDs) to easily synchronize them with the subtitles, use a translation tool and configure program settings when it comes to the interface language, frame rate, default audio stream, time display, automatic aspect ratio mode, default subtitle format for saving, and others.

The program uses a low-to-moderate amount of system resources and worked smoothly during our tests. Unfortunately, it doesn't include a help file which would had been welcomed by novices, since Subtitle Processor comes with several advanced options. Otherwise, we strongly recommend this software to all users.
