Topaz Moment is a software program that lets you capture specific frames from video files and turn them into high-quality photos.
The user interface has a minimal and outdated design. In the main window you are only able to see the progress bar from the video file previously opened, the “Play,” “Stop,” “Pause,” “Volume” and other such buttons, and, of course, the menu bar at the top of the app.
The interface is customizable, as the user is able to hide or show different tool bars and panels (“Controls,” “Statistics,” “Shader Editor,” “Playlist” etc.). Even the menu bar can be hidden with just a few clicks.
Topaz Moment uses advanced enhancement techniques in order to let you capture a frame. From that point on, you are able to clean, sharpen, reduce noise (low, median, high), input motion smoothness (minimum, small, median, high) and increase its resolution by up to 2.5x, and as a result you can create high-quality photography from a specific moment of the movie or clip.
Cropping, scaling to a specific size, adjusting the contrast, brightness, hue and saturation are also features that you are able to benefit from in Topaz Moment.
The program enables you to import file formats such as AVI, MPEG, MOV, ASF and a few others, and there is also the possibility of capturing frames directly from video devices such as a DVD, DV camcorder, VCD and SVCD.
The results of your work will be available in image formats such as BMP, JPG, TIF and PNG.
All in all, Topaz Moment is a very useful piece of software that can help you capture frames from certain video files that you deem worthy.
