AVI Maker

AVI Maker is a very simple Windows tool designed to create videos using the images stored on your local disk.

The application boasts a straightforward and well organized interface, which means it can be safely used by beginners without even having a look in the help manual.

Truth is, AVI Maker doesn't boast too many complex utilities, as everything's pretty basic, with just a few configuration options.

All features are integrated into the main window, so you can add new photos to the video by using the dedicated buttons, with the user being required to provide the output path and the output filename.

You need to specify the frames per second value and pick the number of colors, with only three options available: 8-, 16- and 24-bit colors.

Beside the aforementioned goodies, the main window shows the list of bitmaps to be processed and converted into video. Unfortunately, AVI Maker doesn't include drag and drop support, so you have to manually add new files to the list every time.

Plus, AVI Maker works exclusively with bitmap pictures and no other format is supported.

The created video is nothing special and this is basically the result of the limited offering when it comes to the number of video customization features. AVI Maker works quick, that's true, but the video is nothing more than a photo slideshow.

AVI Maker runs on low resources and although it features a help manual, it didn't work during our testing.

So the conclusion is somehow obvious: AVI Maker is just a simple tool that serves its purpose but nothing more. It needs tons of updates to become a serious contender in this software category.
