Video Cutter Max is a program with a self-explanatory title - it lets you cut video files of various formats, including AVI, ASF, RMVB, MPG, FLV and M4V.
If you're using Windows 7, then make sure to open Video Cutter Max with administrative privileges. Otherwise, an error pops up and prevents you from accessing it.
The interface of the application is plain and simple to navigate through. You can import a video by using the file browser only, since the "drag and drop" method is not supported.
So, all you have to do is make a selection by moving two sliders, specify the output destination (same folder as the input file or custom) and initiate the trimming process.
In addition, you can play and stop the video, reset the selection, specify the output video format (e.g. AVI, MP4, DVD) and configure settings (e.g. codec, container), as well as enable Video Cutter Max to automatically turn off the computer once the cutting task has been completed.
The video trimming tool takes up a moderate amount of system resources, includes a well-drawn help file and quickly finishes a task. No errors have popped up during our tests and Video Cutter Max did not freeze or crash. The image and sound quality of the converted videos is very good. We highly recommend this tool to all users.
