Speed Video Splitter is an application designed to help you split a given video file into multiple pieces and even convert them into a different format.

Since it’s called Speed Video Splitter, the program is supposed to be blazing fast, and we can actually confirm it really is following our tests.

In fact, the whole app was designed to provide a simple way to split videos on the fly, without wasting too much time with fancy settings and complicated processes.

The interface is indeed clean but it seems to be a bit outdated, although it helps Speed Video Splitter serve its purpose quite okay.

There are three options, as it follows: cut the marked range, split the marked range to a number of given clips and split the market range into a multiple clips, but limit each clip to a number of seconds.

Additionally, Speed Video Splitter can convert the resulting pieces into multiple formats, including WMV, AVI, 3GP, RealMedia or even into dedicated formats to work on iPhone, PSP or iPod.

The Settings menu is just minimal and you won’t spend too much time in there because you can only change the video size, the framerate and the aspect ratio.

Another thing that’s worth mentioning is that Speed Video Splitter isn’t at all heavy on computer resources, even when handling large video files, so it can safely be used on older machines too.

All things considered, Speed Video Splitter is a decent app to split videos, but there are several other alternatives out there in the market, some of them even offered with a freeware license.
