Video DVD Maker PRO is an advanced Windows tool that allows you to create video DVDs, with support for multiple sources, including locally-stored media or camera devices.
The whole DVD creation process has been developed as a wizard, so users are prompted to follow just a few steps to completely burn a new video DVD.
The interface isn’t quite the best we’ve seen, but it still serves its purpose and guides users throughout the entire process.
You are initially required to choose the source of the disk, which can be either an AVI file, a previously-authored DVD video, a photo slideshow or a YouTube clip.
What’s more, Video DVD Maker PRO lets you capture and make a DVD using your video camera as a source, providing several configurable parameters such as frame rate, video input and size, audio and volume settings.
The application enables you to configure the timeline and design the DVD menu, with lots of built-in templates. You can, of course, add pictures, text and audio backgrounds, but you’re not allowed to insert new templates.
The burning engine is fast and stable, but we’ve noticed a moderate usage of hardware resources during the process. While on faster systems this could be somewhat acceptable, older machines may be seriously slowed down. Video DVD Maker PRO provides no performance options, so you can’t adjust process priority for a reduced usage of CPU and memory.
All in all, Video DVD Maker PRO is one of the DVD creation tools that could come in handy to many users out there and with a few improvements in some specific areas, it could easily become a top product.
