Micro DVD player is, just like its name suggests, a downloadable application that helps play DVDs rips, trying to offer almost the same experience as the original disc.
It’s called “micro” so the interface is minimal, but you’ll find it extremely easy to use once you get used to it.
There are a few buttons right in the middle of that tiny interface and even if they do not come with detailed descriptions to let you know what they’re doing, they still come in handy.
The Micro DVD Player configuration screen looks as old as the whole application and although there are a lot of options in there, everything looks outdated.
Probably the best thing is that Micro DVD Player does its job and, to be honest, does it well, without eating up many of your hardware resources.
The ace up its sleeve is that the application can also display menus and options just like on the original disc, so you won’t really feel the difference between your rip and the genuine version.
Unfortunately, the developer has already abandoned the project, so Micro DVD player won’t be improved in the future. It’s still a great software solution for older machines where the amount of required resources is a problem, so in case you’re looking for such a thing, just give it a try.
