SWF Opener 1.3
Straightforward and easy to use
Opening Flash files has never been easier because the application automatically takes control of this format on every Windows version out there. It associates with the SWF files by default, but this setting can be easily disabled from the main window.
It comes with a very clean and user friendly interface and although there is not much room for customization, it still provides excellent functionality. In order to play a file, one can rely on the standard open button or simply drag and drop the file onto the main window.
Access and save web browser SWF cache files
Once playback is initiated, its dedicated menu can be accessed to navigate to the last frame of the video or to the first one. In addition to the standard Play, Pause or Forward functions, there is also the possibility to enable Auto Replay, so that the video plays in a loop without any user input.
An unexpected feature provided by SWF Opener is the SWF cache viewer which can be used to preview the cache logged by Internet Explorer, Firefox or a custom selected folder. One can use the filter to view results that come from a specific website or those recorded in a certain day – either way, users can view the cache and get its full address as well.
To sum it up
All in all, SWF Opener is the ideal application for those who want just that: open SWF files, since FLV is not supported. But in case one needs some extra features, they might have to look somewhere else. With simplicity being its main feature, it lets anyone quickly accommodate, regardless of previous experience.
