Bandwidth Monitor is a lightweight Windows utility designed to help you track network connections and gather useful information about them, such as download and upload speeds.

First of all, it must be said that Bandwidth Monitor sports a clean and straightforward interface that gives users the possibility of monitoring the download and upload speeds for multiple network connections with the use of a graph. Plus, you can view the current speed values directly in the primary panel.

In order to help you be in permanent control of your computer’s performance, Bandwidth Monitor generates daily, weekly, and monthly reports about the entire monitoring process, and keeps a log with details about possible errors.

The stopwatch can be used for measuring data transfer rates over a user-defined period of time. You can make the timer remain on top of other utilities, and start or stop it.

Other important features worth mentioning enable users to make the program run at Windows startup, assign hotkeys, customize the graph layout in terms of color and text font style, specify the adapters, and enable notifications (upload WAV files, send emails, run a program).

Last but not least, you can record traffic rates for the selected adapter and specify the recording interval in seconds.

During our testing, we have noticed that the program displays accurate results and no errors showed up during our testing. It remains light on the system resources, so it doesn’t hamper system computer performance, nor interfere with other programs’ functionality.
