Ip Lookup for Windows 8.1
Ip Lookup is a handy and very easy to understand utility developed for devices running Windows 8.1 as an operating system, whose main purpose is to assist you in finding out what your current IP address is, just by launching it.
Basic yet functional appearance
The application displays a rather unimpressive user interface, its main window featuring a black background where your current IP address is displayed in a large, white-colored font.
In the field situated in the lower right corner of the screen, you can enter the domain name whose information you wish to discover, then press on the ‘Lookup IP Address’ button.
Find out your IP address or that of your web domain
Ip Lookup is able to instantly tell you what your current IP address is, listing it in its main window every time you run the program. However, it cannot be copied to clipboard or saved to a file, for additional work.
Another function of this utility consists of looking up the IP address of a user-defined web domain. The retrieved information is displayed in a scrollable panel where you can learn not only its IP, but also the ‘Reverse DNS’, the ‘Hostname’ and the ‘IP Blacklist Check’.
Moreover, it can shed some light on the geographical location of the corresponding IP address, including the coordinates, continent, city and country, as well as the timezone. However, this data cannot be copied, nor can you export it to a file.
A simple tool for finding your IP
Overall, Ip Lookup for Windows 8.1 seems to be a handy application albeit it shows a fairly limited functionality, as it can only display your own IP address and some information about a specified web domain.
