ADMLink Network Inventory description
ADMLink NI will offer an efficient way of collecting and managing information about some devices located on the network
ADMLink NI will offer an efficient way of collecting and managing information about wide variety of devices located on the company's network.
ADMLink Network Inventory includes tools for network discovery, SNMP information parsing and mapping, inventory reporting and analysis, and facility for export to external programs.
Device Discovery components of ADMLink NI scans network segments to identify devices located in them. Scan of each network segment is called a Session. Sessions are created through easy to use wizards that allow users to enter the range of IP addresses to be scanned, SNMP community strings and other parameters of the scan.
In the recent years SNMP became standard for remote management of network
devices. Almost every manufacturer is providing MIBs and SNMP software for their network equipment or server. However, understanding information from these devices used to be complicated due to inconsistent structure of data in MIB trees.
ADMLink eliminates these problems through mapping of proprietary manufacturer?s structure into a universal and easy to understand collection of properties. We have analyzed a vast number of MIB trees and summarized this information in our database, providing a consistent and easy to understand presentation.
ADMLink provides a variety of reports that allow administrators to receive detailed information about their network devices, summary information about all hardware and comparison reports between network configurations. The information generated by the reports could be viewed on screen, printed in a user-friendly format, or exported in a comma separated file for import into other tools used in your company.
