DNS Changer is a lightweight and portable application that enables users to quickly change the DNS properties of their Internet connection.

It includes a few intuitive options that can be tweaked by all types of users, even the ones with no previous experience in networking tools.

Since installation is not a requirement, you can drop the program files to any location on the HDD and just click the executable to run. A command-line tool is available as well, for those who prefer to carry out a task by writing a few lines in a Command Prompt dialog.

It is also possible to save a copy of DNS Changer to a USB flash disk or similar storage unit, in order to run it on any machine with minimum effort, as long as it has .NET Framework installed.

What's more, the Windows registry does not get updated with new entries, and no additional files are created on the HDD, leaving it clean after removal.

The interface is made from a small window with a simple layout. It does not contain attractive elements but it is simple to work with.

So, you can choose the DNS mode between manual, automatic, Google, FoolDNS and OpenDNS, enter the new values if you're in manual mode, and apply the new changes with the click of a button. There are no other notable options available here.

DNS Changer runs on low CPU and RAM, so it does not hog system resources. It has a good response time and commits modifications rapidly, without triggering the OS to freeze, crash or show error messages. All in all, DNS Changer gets the job done, and it can be used by anyone.
