Easy WiFi Radar is an application designed to lend you a hand when trying to connect to wireless access points on the go, without wasting your time with searching and other type of configuration.
The program has the power to search for free connections continuously, so as soon as it detects a new network, it automatically establishes a connection, thus letting you retrieve emails or resume downloads on the fly.
The interface isn’t quite the one you’d expect from such an application, but it still serves its purpose quite well.
Shaped like a radar, the main window comes with just two options, exit the app or start a new scan, but more features are accessible via the System Tray icon.
Still, not the settings menu you’d want because everything is basic, so you can’t configure too much about Easy WiFi Radar. For example, you have the option to enable the radar sound or not, open a given page when a new connection is made or save your home or office WEP key for instant connection.
Easy WiFi Radar worked okay on Windows 7 during our test, but there’s obviously a lot of work to do before it can really be considered a comprehensive app.
It indeed remains friendly with computer resources all the time, but you won’t be amazed, that’s for sure.
Overall, Easy WiFi Radar is just a simple app supposed to help you connect to free wireless networks on the fly, but it’s far from becoming a top pick in this particular software category.
