NNTPGolverd provides you with a lightweight and easy to use NNTP (Network News Transfer Protocol) client that can help you search for and download news articles on Usenet.
The application supports yEnc encoded files and multi-threaded downloads. Multiple files that are part of a single download are displayed on one line.

· All softwares I have build in the past were capable of showing a cat-picture somewhere on the screen; So, NNTPGolverd can now also do that. Without any picture, it will show a message at the place where the 'Downloads' grid used to be. With a picture, the picture will be shown. It can be any picture you want, as long as its a valid .jpg file. Just drag the .jpg to the main screen and it will be picked up at program start. For me, I have a local 'cat.jpg' in my folder, so my program is compliant with all other programs I've build :-) - Added message to main screen explaining users where to get the latest & original programs, since many sites have started hosting older (and even modded) copies. - Added feedback during header-transfers (which can take a long time). It will now report the completion% of the newsgroup(s) being updated. - Updated the general text above in this readme to bring it up to date. - Resizing of the main screen at runtime now works as expected; the other screens a...
