    Sunbelt Network Security Inspector description

A low-cost, fast-result network vulnerability scanner using a database of over 4,000 ranked multi-platform vulnerabilities

Sunbelt Network Security Inspector (SNSI) is a robust commercial-grade, quick-install vulnerability scanner available at an affordable price from Sunbelt Software. Sunbelt Network Security Inspector will enable system administrators to rapidly and accurately identify network security holes, offering proactive protection from viruses, hackers and other type of threats.

The vulnerability database contains and detects hundreds of vulnerabilities with frequent updates available to ensure the detection of newly discovered vulnerabilities. SNSI’s intuitive interface allows for excellent maneuverability, easy grouping and quick scan launches.

    · New Engine, Faster Scanning – The scan speed of SNSI has been significantly increased, while definitions file sizes have dropped dramatically. One V2 user reports scanning his large network in hours instead of days.
    · Scheduled Scanning – v1.6 required the admin to kick off a scan. In v2.0, the admin can schedule a scan, allowing vulnerability scanning to occur during low traffic times, such as the wee hours of the morning or on weekends, and automatically set this schedule to reoccur on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
    · Comprehensive Reporting - Ability to create and export (PDF) numerous high-level or detailed reports of all scan data to confirm policy and regulatory compliance
    · File Version Scanning – Ability to scan for the latest versions of files, by setting the range of versions for specified file types.
    · Scan Vista Machines – Ability to scan both 32-bit and 64-bit Vista machines, as well as Server 2008.
    · Expanded MAC and Solaris Definitions – more support has been added ...
