WiFi Channel Scanner provides users with a simple means of detecting all available wireless network connections in their area.

It does not come bundled with configuration parameters, being strictly a scanner. This also means that rookies or people with no prior experience in networking tools may use this app with confidence.

Installing the program does not take a long time, nor require special attention from the user, since there are only standard options available.

Once it is done, you can run the app to view a regular window with a plain layout. It is not attractive but simple to work with, since the "what you see is what you get" principle clearly applies to WiFi Channel Scanner.

All you have to do is select a preferred network adapter from a drop-down list and start the scanning procedure. The list shows the name, channel, signal quality, authentication and cipher algorithms, along with the MAC address for each network found nearby.

There are no other options available through this utility. For example, WiFi Channel Scanner does not provide button for copying data to the Clipboard, printing it, or saving it to file for further evaluation.

We have noticed a minimal CPU and RAM consumption during the program's runtime, so it has minimal impact on computer performance. We have not come across any problems in our testing, and the app did not hang or crash.

When it comes down to it, users may resort to WiFi Channel Scanner whenever they need to rapidly detect available wireless connections nearby, without having to take any further actions.
