Internet Connectivity Monitor is a lightweight tool that allows you to monitor your Internet connection in the easiest way possible. This is a Java-based application, so before running the program, make sure you have previously installed the working environment on your computer.
Since this is the portable version of the application, it is important to mention that it doesn’t leave any traces in the Windows Registry, and you can copy it on any USB flash drive or other devices, and take it with you whenever you need check your Internet connection status.
The user interface is clean and simple, and all its options are neatly displayed in the main window. Internet Connectivity Monitor gives user the possibility of monitoring two different Internet addresses at a specified time interval (in seconds).
You can resume or stop the monitoring process, and view the details about the Internet connection in the primary panel of the program. The log, which contains details about the possible errors messages and useful connectivity issues, can be exported to a file. Moreover, by enabling the automatic mode, the program saves the logs to the specified directory by default.
It is possible to make the application play sound notifications when it detects that your Internet connection was interrupted or until it is able to reconnect, and it also displays the number of disconnections.
During our testing we have noticed that the program manages to remain light on the system resources and no errors showed up throughout the entire process.
All in all, Internet Connectivity Monitor is a simple but powerful software utility that is able to monitor the Internet connections for two different addresses. Thanks to its overall simplicity and useful features, it is suitable for novices and professionals alike.
