The copy/paste function that Windows offers to its users is basically enough for everyone, but as we all know, the clipboard saves only the last copied element, be it text or file.
On the other hand, Clipboard Helper does a lot more and although it is delivered in a quite light package, it's able to help you organize the clipboard a lot easier.
Basically, Clipboard Helper is a tiny application that's designed to work with copied texts, keep track of all fragments you copied and save them in text documents.
Since it's designed to do such a simple task, Cliphoard Helper works pretty easy, so it won't eat up your CPU and RAM. In fact, it works so smooth that it is barely noticeable even when it is up and running.
The interface is simple and easy to use, however the application does have something that can be seen as a shortcoming rather than a useful feature. We noticed this during our tests and it relates to the fact that you cannot choose the location where Clipboard Helper saves the documents.
The 'Settings' menu comes with a decent pack of customizable options that mainly pertain to the clipboard management but there are also some for personalizing the interface and the help system's behavior.
Overall, Clipboard Helper is a nice utility if you need to keep track of everything you paste in your clipboard. The software runs without glitches and since it doesn't require installation, you can use it on the go, from a portable storage device.
