ClipCase

The clipboard menu is the invisible hand that holds text or files on hold each time we copy something. Even if the clipboard works mostly from the shadows, there are ways to see its contents or alter them. For example, Clipcase is a nifty program that changes the text in your clipboard. The changes revolve around switching to lower or uppercase letters, inserting ASCII characters, or emptying the content out.

Everybody likes a neat and easy-to-use interface, but how about one that requires no interaction? ClipCase does its work behind the scenes as well, sporting an interface for informational purposes only. All four key combinations for transforming text were orderly placed within a tiny window. The Hide button is the single clickable piece in there, sending the UI to the system tray when needed.

If being out of sight is not enough, the clipboard is also quiet. ClipCase, however, is not. A sound cue similar to a beep is played each time a combination is hit and applied. This way, you'll always know if a hotkey worked or not.

On the other hand, it would have been of great help if the hotkeys and sound cue could be customized. While the key combos are not the worst, that beep sound can become annoying with long-term use, and swapping it would've made for a great QOL feature.

ClipCase is, by all means, a functional, straightforward application. Being able to paste text from your clipboard to either lower/upper case letter no matter the source format is a neat thing to do, as well as cleaning the keyboard and inserting ASCII characters. The price for these functions? Learning three new hotkeys and tolerating a slightly annoying yet useful beep.
