Clinic Manager is a free, lightweight and easy-to-use software application which allows you to manage a database of patients with medical records.
The interface of the tool is based on a plain window with a standard layout where you can get started by selecting a task from the list.
So, you can add a new patient by inputting the first and last name, gender, date of birth, address and telephone number.
In addition, you can use a search function to locate a particular patient by his name or ID, list all patients in a list, as well as issue a prescription by filling in the patient name, age, diagnosis, drug type or dosage amount, and prescription names. These fields can be restored to their default values.
Furthermore, you can edit clinic and doctor information (clinic or group name, doctor's name and qualifications, telephone number, address, city, province, and postal code), create a backup of the medial records database (CBK), as well as restore the database. All these details can be printed out.
The straightforward program has a good response time and uses a very low amount of CPU and system memory. We haven't come across any problems during our tests. However, Clinic Manager is pretty primitive in regard to its appearance and functionality; this is probably because the app has not been updated for a very long time. Nevertheless, inexperienced computer users should easily find their way around Clinic Manager.
